November

I am getting a distinct feeling of deja vu, we seem to be snowed in again.

The Christmas fayre at the beautiful Great Dixter was only enhanced by a faint dusting of snow. The fire was roaring in the great hall and there were loads of yummy things to buy including one of the best olive oils ever, hand picked this November in the Sabine hills Rome, www.casapoggio.com. We also stocked up on Narcissus Paperwhites from the Dixter nursery guaranteed to flower even left to my totally un-green hands.
So back to the weather...
The Bedgebury Pinetum looked amazing as we set up the Wealden Times Christmas show, then blimey what a blizzard I only just made it home. At least my Fashy hot water bottle cover was looking gorgeous in it's cosy wool cover

December

I love Christmas shopping. It's so amusing seeing something and thinking that will be perfect for so and so. Therefore my gift giving is a bit random. This year, as it's so cold I decided to treat Herman to a coat so I headed straight to the Greyhound and Whippet shop luckily virtually as they have moved from Walthamstow to Essex.
Not only do they have one of the best logos ever but also a fine selection of all the essentials a discerning greyhound could need.

Should it be the blizzard coat or the kennel coat? Decisions decisions.....

So now the year draws to a close and it just remains for we folk to wish you all a very Happy New Year.
