papa Luigi
I always looked forward to the longest day. Not only did it seem to have something mystical about it but it was also my grandfathers birthday.
Being originally from near Naples and modelling himself on a Marlon Brando / Don Corleone character he lorded it over the family handing out gifts and generally making everyone squirm.
Sourcing music and wine for Leah Fusco's latest exhibition Saluti Da Firenze gave me the excuse to sample Chiante in perfect rush clad bottles and listen to papa's favourite tunes of Santa Lucia and Funiculi Funicula

Bottles of Chiante
To compliment Leah's illustrative paintings and exploring the idea of putting pen to paper we produced a series of four A5 travel notebooks all with plain paper inside ideal for sketching notes and as some one said recipes...
To dress the gallery and further evoke the theme I sourced some amazing pencil sharpeners in the shape of box brownie cameras and simple rustic shopping bags, peasant hats and slippers hand made from bull rushes.

If you can't make it to the gallery why not visit us at our new online store www.fuscoandfolk.com

Your grandfather looks amazing and I can see a passing resemblance of Alfie. I LOVE the slippers! Are they comfortable?
