In fact knights killed fighting on foreign fields had their hearts cut out,pickled and re-buried in earthenware pots on dog island...

We are working hard finalising things for the Winter Fayre at Great Dixter where we FOLK will be hosting a pop up cafe in the Medieval Barn.. Pickled heart, bread and chutney any one....
